Delme Smith raising funds for his second implant

Delmé received his cochlear implant on 28 September 2015. After a successful recovery, Delmé was ready for the switch on of the device. He responded to speech bursts (high to low tones) and looked up whenever someone spoke to him. His dad burst out in tears after he realized his son could hear his voice for the very first time. Initially, he was weary about wearing the device at first but adapted well after some encouragement. It was a very special moment when Delmé realized the device was giving access to sound as he tried to give it to his grandfather to also have a listen. Delmé and his family are currently raising funds for his second implant.
